B.O.S.A. Inc.
The Bedford Outdoor Sportsman Association Inc. (B.O.S.A.) located in Bedford, Virginia is a local,
non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting our natural resources and providing area
youth with educational scholarships. We strive to raise awareness on how to utilize nature's outdoor
landscape as a recreation area, a place of learning and perhaps someday a place of work. Compromised of
a group of volunteers with a passion for the outdoors, B.O.S.A. strives to raise the education level of the
youth in Bedford and the surrounding areas.
We at B.O.S.A. want to help keep alive the outdoor traditions of past generations and will continue to
provide shows, events, and fun and exciting ways for the youth to learn about the outdoors and pass that

Commonwealth of Virginia. It encompasses 764 square miles of Piedmont
Plateau in the Western Central portion of Virginia and is bordered by the
Blue Ridge Mountains to the west, the James River on its northeast and
Smith Mountain Lake to the south. It has rolling , hilly terrain with
elevations ranging from 800 to 4200 feet above sea level.
Bedford is a sportsman's paradise. From hunting wild game to fishing the
beautiful trout and bass in the rivers, streams and lakes, Bedford offers
gorgeous, quiet mountain hollows and plenty of animal life. Bedford
challenges both the novice and the experienced.
